Sarwat’s 20 years experience began in architecture and interiors, mentored by Leading influencers in workplace strategy thought leadership. In a male centric industry, she navigated the barriers regarding culture and gender and secured business with global corporates across industries in EMEA whilst re-training in Behavioural Change and business psychology.
Consulting to businesses across the Middle East in human communications, diversity & performance, deepened her knowledge of equality, beliefs, values and practices throughout the region and the implications to mental health.
A qualified wellbeing and cognition practitioner, Sarwat has advised government in HR policy on discrimination and mental health in the workplace, community cohesion, and guided City Hall on Mental Health practice across London's communities. She has also advised at high level in conflict resolution linguistics, for coalitions and governmental departments abroad.
Sarwat sits on a national advisory board for a leading social cohesion & interfaith charity recognized by HM the Queen, and two mental health charities. She also gives advisory to influential New Zealand organisations regarding social impact and inclusion.
Sarwat is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts, The Institute of Leadership and Management and The Centre of Conscious Design where she leads the global think tank domain on Design, Belief Systems and Urbanism.
"Sarwat impressed in NZ, bringing the experience of her profession in diversity and her work in organisational change into her contribution to building good inter-faith relationships wherever she is. She carries with her, her own wide experience of the world, living in Britain, in countries across the Middle East, and in New Zealand, together with her own heritage. Without hesitation Sarwat offers her skills and her leadership, ready also to give articulate expression of faith, when the opportunity or need arises."

“Sarwat is objective, nuanced and brave. She is unafraid to tackle difficult issues head on and does so in an open, inclusive and thoughtful manner so as to provoke thought; enabling people to address issues by looking at them in ways that they had perhaps not previously considered. I have found her to be a much needed critical friend."

“Her charm, kindness and humility are utterly disarming. This makes it exceptionally easy for those she works with to learn in a non-threatening environment. She also fosters empathy: a capacity which is fundamental to recognising and celebrating diversity. Sarwat is an exceptional public speaker, leader, mentor and an inspirational role model."
